Below you will find a selection of activities in the area. Of course we are always willing to give you more information.
At about 10km you will find Noordwijk aan Zee. Traditionally a fishing village, nowadays a seaside resort with a long coastal strip of about 13 km. About 3 km of coastline is actually in front of the built-up area of Noordwijk aan Zee. Great for a walk on the beach or to enjoy a summer day on the beach. With its many beach bars and lively boulevard Noordwijk is ideal for guests who love to go to a beach in a lively environment that offers many restaurants and bars on the boulevard and on the beach itself. To the website of Noordwijk.
A slightly less crowded and lively, but certainly not less beautiful, beach can be found at beach exit Langevelderslag. This beach is also about 10 km from our B&B. To get to this beach you cross a beautiful and wide dune area. At the beach exit you will find Strandplaats Nederzandt where you can have lunch or dinner or just enjoy a drink on the terrace. Nederzandt also offers many recreational opportunities and organizes a variety of events throughout the year. To the website of Langervelderslag.
At about 2 kilometers from our B&B you will find one of the most famous tourist attractions of the Netherlands, the Keukenhof. The Keukenhof is the international show window of Dutch floriculture with the emphasis on bulb flowers. In eight weeks time Keukenhof shows what the Dutch floriculture has to offer with the emphasis on the spring flowering bulbs. A beautifully landscaped park where you can enjoy a true flower splendor. Nearby Keukenhof Castle is also worth a visit. The Keukenhof is open from 21 March until 19 May To the website of Keukenhof.
An annual event in our flowerbulb region and one of the top tourist attractions is the Flower parade (Bloemencorso). The Flower Parade of the flowerbulb region is a parade of floats that are built up with bulbs such as hyacinths, daffodils and tulips. This colourful parade starts in Noordwijk and ends in Haarlem. The Flower parade is also called the face of spring, because no parade can measure up to the unique spring colours and scents of the flower parade. This year the flower parade will take place on Saturday 13 April. Our B&B is situated on the route of the flower parade. To the website of Flower parade.
